We have an exciting opportunity to join the bank as a Digital Accessibility Lead.

Here you’ll be responsible for helping define the user experience across our digital platforms, including Santander’s online bank and application forms.

You’ll use knowledge of accessibility guidelines to drive decisions about the end-to-end customer experience and understand how we create digital content that works for people with disabilities, including visual, audio, cognitive and motor requirements. You’ll collaborate with developers, product owners and other team members to respond to the project requirements and will contribute to the definition and validation of accessibility standards and best practices across the platform.

This role is about looking towards the future and driving a design standard that will define the future of how people’s relationship with money and finance will be defined in our ever-changing world of connected living.

By pushing digital technologies to the limit for both responsive web and native technologies at the right time in the product lifecycle, the role will lead new product developments and help get the right outcomes for customers.

This is a Fixed Term Contract position until end June 2024, playing a key role in helping shape the user experience across digital platforms and is ideal for someone looking to keep their skills current, or wanting to contribute to the successful operations of our online bank.

Improving our public facing website guidance for people with disabilities, including updating our accessibility statement and internal guidance

Helping to co-ordinate and document accessibility policies and guidance

Working with 3rd parties to manage and implement accessibility effectively

What you’ll bring.

Able to test and report website and mobile content to WCAG website standards

Ability to work with stakeholders to build awareness and embed accessibility into day to day processes

What else you need to know.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and we’re happy to discuss specific requirements throughout the recruitment process.

We will be conducting all interviews via video-conference where possible.

This role is based in Milton Keynes and you will be expected to spend 40% of your time in this office.

This is a Fixed Term Contract position for 6 months to be based at our Milton Keynes office with some remote working.

Our interview process will consist of a 90 min competency and task based session, calling on your accessibility knowledge and focus.
