We are hiring a part-time Junior Accessibility Tester who will be working closely with Accessibility leaders at Testlio to create and execute accessibility testing.. This is an opportunity to take your accessibility testing skills to the next level with opportunities to learn on the job and build on your understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The Jr Accessibility Tester will be customer-facing, along with their manager for feedback and thoughts on how the client designs and creates new functionality with accessibility in mind. This is a part-time role, with a guaranteed 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with a strong possibility of working additional hours as new projects come up.

What would your day look like

Be on hand to verify accessibility issues
Create, document, and manage testing approaches for clients
Report directly to leadership on feedback on process and testing
Create and document methodology procedures and best practices
Have dedicated training and a partnership to strengthen your current skills
Ensure a client’s experience and expectations are met through the delivery of our Accessibility Testing Offering
Work closely with your peers on the Services Leadership team as well as cross-functional departments to continually identify opportunities to improve our customer experience

What You Need to Succeed

Technical skills:

You have a passion, curiosity, and focused interest in Accessibility, User Experience, and Software Testing.
Understanding of WCAG and WAI-ARIA.
2 years of previous experience using and demonstrating assistive technology

Human skills:

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong time management, problem-solving, task delegation, and prioritization capabilities.
Work well under pressure and in an environment of constant change.
Appreciate the flexibility in the working hours that allow you to balance your work and your needs.
Team player, socially open-minded, empathetic, and considerate of cultural differences.
