As a Product Manager in Digital Accessibility Team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and improve top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. The position will work in close partnership with the Head of and other leaders on the Digital Accessibility Team as well as key functional partners in Product, Finance, Analytics, Design, Product Agility, and Operations; and leaders across various lines of business those are stakeholders in delivering accessible digital products and documents.
We maintain JPMC’s global Accessibility standards and testing approaches as well as offer accessibility tools and training to employees across the firm to increase their skills, effectiveness, and productivity. We also provide attach accessibility experts as advisors and testers to product teams and further support their success with process governance and reporting. As the Business Manager reporting to the Head of Digital Accessibility, you will be responsible for leading planning and budget activities, management operating rhythms and regular business reviews, OKR definition and tracking, management reporting, stakeholder management, and development of an ongoing narrative that communicates the value accessibility and our team’s related efforts bring to our customers and the firm.
Job Responsibilities
Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
Establish and help drive disciplined management new ideas for regular business review, stakeholder accountability, management and reporting of OKRs/KPIs, and budgets.
Help prioritize, drive, and report on progress of near- and long-term strategic initiatives across the team for enhanced planning, resourcing, decision making, and execution.
Using data and storytelling, craft narratives that communicate accessibility related needs, efforts, and ROI to various stakeholders and groups, increasing awareness, education, and support from stakeholders.
Create exec-level ready updates and deep-dives, develop concise communication materials for senior management, Define and track progress against strategic plans for future and key results across the team.
Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and manage agendas for staff meetings and events.
Partner with finance team to maintain high-level budget and field questions, build business cases for special investments, projects, and hiring strategy.
Partner with other teams across the firm supporting employee and customer accessibility and drive collaborative value-add efforts and investments.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
Demonstrate ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
Strategic thinker with passion and skills for developing quantitatively and qualitatively derived insights, but also a willingness to focus on and drive details and process, Ability to assess industry and competitor market trends and impacts to the business.
A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, strong work ethic, proactively setting and achieving challenging activities, demonstrated others-centric attitude, focused on transparency and bringing value, uplifting others, sharing credit and succeeding as a team.
Demonstrated consultative and collaborative approach with skill at navigating complex organizations with a variety of objectives and personalities, demonstrates excellent judgment to mitigate risk that could impact the firm’s reputation.
Interpersonal skills, manage multiple tasks for self and others simultaneously, Demonstrate ability to lead through influence and collaborate across a highly matrixed organization.
Ability to develop and articulate well thought out business case and its bottom-line impacts, Ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written) with good storytelling / deck-writing / public speaking and presentation skills required
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers; eagerness to work in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly dynamic environment.
Required excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools, Minimum of 3+ years of highly relevant experience, bachelor’s degree required.
Passion for accessibility and ability to communicate the importance and value of accessibility through data, story, and influence. Track record of engagement with financials, managing to budget and adapting as business needs change
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
MBA preferred.
Financial Services background preferred.
Accessibility experience a plus
Experience in Agile Product Management a plus
