The Consumer Experience Technology (CXT) organization is behind making Amazon the best shopping experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile apps and web. To make this a reality for all customers we are home to the Retail Accessibility team. This team is dedicated to building the tools, providing the expertise, and innovating to delight customers with disabilities.

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead operational and strategic initiatives that manage site-wide accessibility. In this role, you will operate at scale to build and enhance tools to identify accessibility hot spots and drive improvements. You will engage teams and leaders across the organization, advocating for solutions that benefit our customers. As a Sr. TPM, you will take large, complex programs and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional and technical user stories, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical thinking and leadership are essential to success in this role. You will need to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing full life-cycle technical projects or programs of an increasingly large and complex scale in a related industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline required or 4+years equivalent work experience.
Experience managing software development efforts in, distributed systems and/or developing large scale e-commerce and web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with WCAG 2.0 and ARIA implementation
Experience with distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
A first-hand working knowledge of current web technologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
