The Senior Manager, Student Accessibility & Inclusion is responsible for leading the implementation of personalised learning supports based on students’ needs, in particular students studying with disability. Adopting a staff-student partnership approach, this role will lead the Student Accessibility and Inclusion team to develop students’ agency to succeed in their studies increasing student retention at UOW. The Accessibility & Inclusion Manager will also work with Faculties and Departments across UOW’s onshore campuses, to embed principles of universal design into institutional teaching and learning practices and student experience.

The successful candidate will have postgraduate qualifications and/or significant experience and leadership expertise in the field, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities in higher education. They should demonstrate expertise in assessing barriers, applying legislation, and leading a team in evidence-based practices. Key skills include problem-solving, stakeholder management, knowledge of university processes, and the ability to analyse data to improve service provision. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential, alongside a commitment to equity and collaborative work environments.
