Help cross-functional development teams create industry leading experiences for people with disabilities.
Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, industry guidelines, and best practices with the ability to push beyond to uncover new and distinctive solutions.
Consult and collaborate with talented teams in a supportive, complex environment and develop an understanding of broader organizational context and goals.
Use storytelling and persuasion techniques that build trust with partners and establish long-term relationships.
Stay current on trends, theories, methods and processes.
Conduct accessibility reviews of websites and apps for conformance with W3C WCAG guidelines including testing with a screen reader.
Help teams understand existing accessibility violations and design solutions for them.
Requirements
Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related technical field
Must have CPACC, WAS, or CPWA certification from the IAAP.
Must have 2 years of experience in Accessibility or IT consulting positions performing the following:
Conducting accessibility reviews of websites and apps for conformance to W3C WCAG guidelines
Testing websites and Apps with a screen reader
Performing cross-browser Accessibility Testing using Assistive Technologies.
Managing and performing Accessibility Testing (Web & Mobile) using Assistive Technologies, Mobile Testing, Web/Mobile applications Functional and Regression testing with manual and Automation tools.
Defect management, tracking, triaging, and debugging it with product teams to provide accessibility SME level support.
Utilizing the following: Deque Axe, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver for Mac and iOS, TalkBack for Android, HTML, Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), and Accessibility Scanner and Accessibility Inspector (Xcode).
Position may be eligible to work in a hybrid remote model and is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Raleigh, NC. Applicants must be able to work onsite at Truist offices
