Software Engineer- Accessibility

Job Summary
Apple's Applications team is looking for a talented software engineer to help make Apple’s applications more accessible to users with disabilities.

Proficiency in Objective-C, C++, C and/or Swift
Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS - IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIREMENT
Experience building accessible applications
Experience with Apple’s accessibility frameworks
Proficiency with JavaScript and experience with web accessibility standards such as WAI-ARIA
Description
This is a highly cross-functional position that requires attention to detail and effective communication. You’ll get to work on several first and second party applications and be exposed to a wide variety of programming styles.

On a typical day, you’ll be writing code that improves the accessibility of one of Apple’s applications. You’ll frequently need to work with other people throughout the company so clear, effective communication and the ability to stay organized is key to your success. Our priorities can—and do—change, which means you’ll need to be flexible and work well in a changing environment.

Education
Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience
