Software Engineer, Mobile iOS Accessibility

Facebook is seeking a Mobile iOS Accessibility Engineer to focus on the accessibility of Facebook’s various product offerings. This person would work on the Accessibility Engineering team to improve accessibility infrastructure and compatibility of Facebook’s products with assistive technologies. This position is based in our Menlo Park headquarters. We are looking for passionate, empathetic engineers with strong experience developing sophisticated applications on the iPhone or iPad using the iOS SDK. Responsibilities

Work closely with our product and design teams to customize the Facebook experience for the iOS platform for accessibility
Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS programming techniques
Build reusable, accessible iOS software components for interfacing with the Facebook platform
Analyze and optimize UI and back-end application code for efficiency, performance and accessibility

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
3+ years of software development experience
2+ years mobile application development at the user interface and system levels
Knowledge of accessibility design principles and implementation techniques
Knowledge of iOS SDK performance tools and optimization techniques
Experience designing APIs
Experience writing unit tests and testable code
Critical thinking and communication skills
