Responsibilities

OBXtek is recruiting for a resource to support our client's JAWS assistive technology environment.



Activities include:

JAWS scripting and programming for applications
Updating JAWS scripts to version 18
Install software and test applications for accessibility in conjunction with application developers and testing staff.
Communicate and attend meetings with team members.
Document problems in help desk ticketing system. Immediately notify the Task Manager of extraordinary problems.
Develop Visual Basic and batch script programming solutions to existing AT software to ensure operability with current hardware and software platforms.
Document scripts.




Qualifications

Requires a minimum of 10 years technically related experience, including the following:



Strong Programming experience - specifically C++Experience with Assistive Technology software, specifically JAWS

Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2012, Visual Basic or VBScript



Ideal to have: JAWS scripting/programming experience


Nice to have: Support for helping users requiring Assistive Technology
