Knowbility is seeking an Office Manager. The organization is based in Austin Texas but does not maintain a physical office so all work is remote. We have a slight preference for Austin based staff since we have several regular community events and a monthly in-person lunch meeting.

Knowbility is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas with the mission to ensure an accessible digital world for people of all abilities. We pursue the mission through three related sets of services:
Community Programs, including our award-winning Accessibility Internet Rally.
Educational Services, including the annual AccessU training conference and the K12 Access Toolkit.
Commercial Services, through which Knowbility offers audit, remediation, and training services to help organizations of all types and sizes improve access to their digital materials. We have open positions in this department that we are eager to fill.

Responsibilities
The Office Manager will oversee Human Resources, bookkeeping, staff meeting management, and general operations administration for a staff of 7 and several volunteers. Duties will include:
Perform bookkeeping functions of accounts payable and receivable using Quickbooks Premier Nonprofit Edition online
Process payroll via external 3rd party payroll provide Nextep
Prepare financial and other management reports for monthly Board meetings
Schedule internal meetings as needed, maintain minutes and archives.
Maintain Employee Manual, updating as needed.
Manage employee benefits, including research into insurance and retirement system options
Manage event ticket sales
Oversee volunteer job postings
Manage grant payment and accountability reporting, in collaboration with grant project manager.
Assist the Executive Director, Board, and other staff with community projects as requested.
Additional duties as identified and mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications
5 years’ experience with QuickBooks, computers and software applications including, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
Human Resource management experience or training
Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
2+ years’ experience in office management or equivalent position with similar responsibilities described above
Experience working in a mission driven, nonprofit organization as volunteer or staff
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management, Business, Accounting or comparable field
Basic understanding of disability rights issues, especially why digital accessibility is important.
Preferred Qualifications
Compensation
Starting pay range is $55,000–$60,000 annually based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time permanent professional position with opportunities for advancement. Our excellent benefits package includes:

Salary Range: $55000 - $60000
