Full Job Description
Collaborate with faculty to improve the accessibility of instructional materials for students in all modes of teaching. Specifically, emphasize universal design learning principles with faculty, provide training and technical assistance, and serve as an advocate for accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure overall quality, consistency, and functionality of all work by the student employee captioning team to ensure a high level of performance.
Oversee a contract with a third-party captioning service.
Work with Disability services to coordinate instructional material accessibility requirements for each semester.
Participate in the university accessibility committee to establish guidelines, best practices, and standards for accessible learning materials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and requirements for WCAG, ADA, Sections 504 and 508, and any other relevant regulatory information.
Serve as the primary resource for finding solutions to meet pedagogical needs and improve student learning in all instructional modes.
Train faculty, administrators, staff, and students on using accessibility tools and software and assist in identifying strategies and solutions for accessibility.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Organizational Learning, and Performance or other relevant degree OR eight (8) years of experience with accessibility.
Demonstrated experience working with accessibility and UDL pedagogies.
Excellent communication, mentoring, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Higher Education experience with faculty support.
Master’s Degree or higher in a related field.
Online teaching or online course design experience.
Strong legal knowledge of accessibility laws and requirements.
