JAG Global Learning is seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to develop a comprehensive accessibility strategy and roadmap for a multinational corporation. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple business units, ensuring that accessibility is integrated into all digital, physical, and operational environments. This role is critical in helping the organization achieve compliance with global accessibility standards and foster an inclusive culture for employees and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Accessibility Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of a holistic accessibility strategy that aligns with business goals, values, and compliance needs (WCAG, ADA, Section 508, EN 301 549, etc.).
Roadmap Creation: Build a detailed, phased accessibility roadmap that prioritizes key accessibility initiatives, providing clear timelines, resources, and milestones for implementation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with leadership, product, design, development, marketing, and HR teams to ensure accessibility is embedded in products, services, and processes from inception through execution.
Accessibility Audits: Oversee accessibility assessments of existing products, services, and internal processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring ongoing compliance.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver targeted training programs for employees, including leadership and development teams, to build internal accessibility expertise and awareness.
Policy Development: Guide the creation of internal accessibility policies, procedures, and best practices across the company, ensuring continuous improvement.
Assistive Technology Integration: Advise on the integration of assistive technologies within digital and physical products, ensuring accessibility for diverse users, including those with disabilities.
Metrics and Reporting: Establish KPIs and benchmarks for measuring the success of accessibility initiatives and regularly report on progress to senior leadership.
Stay Current: Keep the organization informed of global trends, innovations, and legislative updates in accessibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Design, UX/UI, or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in accessibility consulting, strategy development, and roadmap creation.
Deep knowledge of WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and other global accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience leading large-scale accessibility projects in multinational or complex organizations.
Proven ability to conduct accessibility audits, both automated and manual, using tools like Axe, JAWS, VoiceOver, etc.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with universal design principles and their application across digital, physical, and operational domains.
Experience delivering accessibility training and building internal capabilities.
Preferred:
Certifications in accessibility (CPACC, WAS, or other IAAP certifications).
Experience with agile project management methodologies.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and how they interact with various platforms.
