Job Description

Brief Description of the Role:

As a Visual Designer, you will collaborate with the UX Research and Design Teams within a growing full-service UX group. Your main duty will be to develop highly usable, on-brand UIs and showcase the team's work through print, video, slide decks, and product page design. You will also work closely with stakeholders and establish strong cross-team relationships to uphold design quality across multiple projects.

Main Responsibilities:

Collaborate with UX researchers, UX designers, product managers, and engineers to create innovative design solutions that align with project goals and user needs.

Create and iterate on visual design mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity assets for mobile and web applications.

Promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure design consistency across our digital platforms.

Support internal marketing communication with visual skills like PowerPoint slide design, infographics, iconography, and image making.

Continuously improve the user experience based on feedback and data.

Expected Hard Skills:

Strong understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and other visual design principles.

Expertise in using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (our main tool).

Proficient in interaction design, rapid prototyping, high-fidelity prototyping, and interactive prototyping.

Experience working with design systems and component libraries.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Strong skills in information architecture and interaction design.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

4 yeas of proven portfolio of work showcasing expertise in visual design for mobile and web applications.

Experience with accessibility design principles.

Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Qualifications That Are Welcome but Not Required:

Certification in UX Design or a related field.

Experience incorporating generative AI into the UX/UI workflow.

Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.

Illustration or animation skills.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:
$83,100.00 - $130,900.00
