The Checkout Experience team supports in store customer and associate facing applications used to facilitate customer transactions. What you'll do...

What you'll do:

Designing, Developing and maintaining software systems that provide customer checkout for Walmart stores. This includes developing code for the user interface as well as creating and optimizing customer flows.
Work with hardware teams to integrate various technologies and devices that provide a faster checkout experience.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for new features.
Perform rigorous testing and debugging of software to endure reliability and performance. Implement automated testing frameworks where applicable.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software development designs, APIs and user guides.
Work closely with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of checkout systems to handle large volumes of transactions reliably.
Ensure the software systems are secure and comply with data privacy regulations and best practices.


What you'll bring:

At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or related field with strong Experience building customizable, reusable, accessible frontend components using ReactJS and REST services.
Experience building a responsive, cross-browser compatible and high-performance micro frontend web application.
Hands on experience in Cloud platforms (Azure), GCP, git, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
Demonstrated ownership for development and design of modules/features in a product.
Knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architect.
Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end.
Any experience in application telemetry and hardware integrations is a plus.
