Join an elite Content Management Team in the Technology Department at Sage, a mission-driven, independent publisher.
Play a crucial role in ensuring the accessibility of Sage digital content and platforms for students, instructors, and researchers.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, Web developers, and content specialists to create born-accessible content and products.

Could you be our new Digital Accessibility Specialist? You would
Provide support for online accessibility conformance throughout the Sage global enterprise.
Evaluate internal and public-facing applications for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), EN 301 549, and related standards.
Document findings on Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs).
Support Agile product teams on accessibility remediation and road-mapping.
Deliver training and consultation to Sage staff on the tools, workflows, and processes for crafting accessible content and developing accessible platforms.
Requirements:
Experience testing website accessibility with screen readers, colour contrast analysers, keyboard, accessibility browser extensions, and developer tools.
Deep understanding of the WCAG success criteria, EN 301 549, and the EPUB Accessibility Standard.
Experience detailing your test results on VPATs.
Interest in learning testing methods on new device types or different formats.
Passion for communicating on accessibility to a range of audiences who have varying needs and knowledge bases.
Embrace a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, personal agency, and Agile ways of working and thinking.
Experience of working globally in distributed teams.
Experience with accessible front-end development and the ability to make recommendations at a code level are plusses.
Familiarity with PDF optimisation and Microsoft Office accessibility are beneficial.
Background in an XML-centric workflow is a plus.
Trusted Tester certification and/or IAAP credentials are valued.
