Northrop Grumman's Corporate Office is seeking an Accessibility & Disability, Accommodation Specialist. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating, administering, and implementing the accommodation workflow process and procedures, including assisting and engaging with employees and stakeholders in the interactive accommodations process, procurement and fulfillment of requests, and assisting with research, data collection while providing excellent customer service at all times.

Performing as a virtual telecommuter, the Specialist will also act as an employee advocate to remove barriers to productivity and aide in the identification and obtainment of accommodations needed and will be able to identify solutions to complex business challenges.

Responsibilities include:

Under guidance coordinate common accommodation requests and collaboration of decision making as well as implementation of needed accommodation services for applicants and employees with disabilities on behalf of Northrop Grumman, including intake of requests, confirmation of request notifications, assessment of accommodations requested, with support and guidance scheduling reasonable accommodation committee (RAC) meetings, capturing notes of accommodations considered and offered, conversations, tracking follow-up appointments, ensuring two-way conversation of proposed accommodation with employee, and tracking and notifying stakeholders of final resolution.

Assist in the planning, management and evaluation of workplace accommodations.

Partner with employees, managers and stakeholders in facilitating an interactive process to explore accommodations in alignment with ADAAA and Company polices. Collaborate with key functional stakeholders to ensure the proposed solution(s) meets the needs of the requestor and the needs of the business.

Procure required IT software, hardware and equipment and accessibility equipment to support employees’ accommodation needs.

Use web-based case management system to update records during the accommodations process, including intake; communication with employee requestor and stakeholders; tracking of case notes, request disposition, and procurement; retention of relevant documentation; and reporting to determine historical and current trends and metrics.

Coordinate and manage captioning and ASL interpreter request for the enterprise.

Assist with the maintenance and strengthening of relationships with DHOH service vendors.

Assist with the recruitment of service level providers and evaluate and propose enterprise service level agreements for purchase orders for equipment and service providers.

Manage and process requests for ASL interpreting services inside classified areas.

The successful incumbent in this position will have:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors’ degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 4+ years direct high-volume work experience coordinating workplace accommodations, working with people with disabilities, providing case management, medical or human resources support or equivalent combination of education or experience.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of ADA/ADAAA, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, Title VII, accessibility and workplace accommodation issues and management.

Preferred Qualifications

ADA/ADAAA specialized training, course work or certifications.

Experience working on centralized or enterprise-wide initiatives.

Experience working with a team and stakeholders that are geographically diverse.

Experience presenting ADA/ADAAA, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, Title VII, accommodations training, and/or disability etiquette training a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
