UI/UX Accessibility Designer (Part-Time)

Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a focus on digital accessibility compliance.
Proven expertise in WCAG 2.1 Level AA implementation, ADA Title II accessibility, and Section 508 compliance.
Strong understanding of inclusive design principles, assistive technologies, and user-centered accessibility.
Experience collaborating with developers, QA teams, and accessibility testers to implement UI/UX solutions.
Familiarity with ARIA attributes, semantic HTML, and CSS best practices for accessibility.
Experience in government or large-scale public-sector accessibility projects is a plus.
Technology Stack & Tools
Design & Prototyping Tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure RP
Accessibility Testing & Validation Tools: Axe, WAVE, Siteimprove, Google Lighthouse
Assistive Technology Testing: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (iOS), TalkBack (Android)
Development Frameworks: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ARIA, Bootstrap
Collaboration & Documentation: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace
