Accessibility Technology Analyst I

General Description / Primary Purpose:

Addresses technical accessibility challenges by developing technical specifications, and assist in preparing to code for accessibility issues for Information Communication Technology functionality, and assist usability issues for CMS, Vendor products, and other UNF URLs.


Job Function:

Assess, Test, and Determine Repairs

Assess, test, and determine repairs for accessibility issues of web pages (home pages, subordinate pages, external and Internet), web applications, software, and hardware, assist with the vendor and open source products, identify and assist with report content or functionality inaccessible to individuals with disabilities conduct automated accessibility testing with applicable compliance testing tools and manual testing with assistive technology tools. Assist validate program code with website accessibility compliance in accordance with WCAG 2.2 and Voluntary Product Accessibility Template 2.0. Apply cross-browser testing. Test strategy formulation will include decomposing the business and technical requirement into test cases to assess solution for audit accessibility.

Quality Assurance


Develop test case scenarios. Address technical accessibility challenges by developing technical specifications and assist program coding for testing accessibility from audit results and confirming functionality and usability. Assist to write and interpret program code (CSS, JAVA, HTML, XHTML, and WAI-ARIA. Assist develop program code solutions.

Write detailed reports

Communicate and Collaborate
Communicate test results and issues found during audit reviews to teams members, vendors, and users. Effectively communicate the processes and issues. Collaborate with ADA team members to resolve complex accessibility issues.

Marginal Functions:

May be assigned other duties performed in the ADA office.

Departmental Requirements:

Must possess advanced skills using Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Must possess advance technical writing skills. Must have experience writing computer programming code especially HTML. Must be able to communicate verbally. Knowledge of Learning management Systems and Content Management System. Knowledge of WAG 2.1. Knowledge of W3C


Supervision Received:

Supervisor reviews work products and reports. Will monitor achievements and conduct evaluations.


Level of Public Contact:

Internal contact with ICT users and limited external business contacts with vendors who are applying for vendor product purchases.


Policy-making and/or Interpretation:

Employee is involved in policy making for Information Communication Technology (ICT) Policy


Program Direction and Development:

Involved in program direction and development of ICT with supervision.

May not disclose confidential ADA information to others. Must maintain the confidentiality of the medical information house in the ADA office.



Required Qualifications: This position requires either (a) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Associate's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 4 years of direct experience.
