We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, accessibility-focused projects for a federal client. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all phases of the project incorporate Section 508 compliance, WCAG guidelines, and AI-enhanced solutions to support inclusive practices in the employment lifecycle. This position requires a proactive leader with a strong background in designing accessible technology, bridging the gap between developers and end users, and applying AI to enhance the employment journey for individuals with disabilities.
Location: Remote, with occasional onsite meetings at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20210, and attendance at key conferences.
Hours: Availability Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM, excluding Federal Holidays or government closures
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead project management efforts that prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, overseeing the design and implementation of technology solutions that meet Section 508 and WCAG standards.
Act as a liaison between technology developers and end users, especially individuals with disabilities, ensuring that project solutions address user needs and support a seamless, accessible experience.
Integrate AI-driven solutions within the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, training, and retention, to improve accessibility and inclusivity outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including disabled groups and advocacy organizations, to gather insights, refine project goals, and align deliverables with accessibility and AI integration best practices.
Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of current and emerging technology trends, especially related to AI, to proactively address future accessibility challenges and opportunities within the employment lifecycle.
Conduct risk assessments focused on AI and accessibility impacts, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure alignment with federal accessibility requirements.
Prepare detailed, accessibility-centered documentation and reports for client review, promoting transparency and continuous improvement in technology adoption and project outcomes.
Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on accessibility and technology in federal or state settings. (required)
Comprehensive knowledge of Section 508, WCAG, and accessibility best practices. (required)
Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects within accessibility and AI-driven frameworks. (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. (preferred)
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. (preferred)
