The Crux Firm is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our creative team supporting a national automotive safety campaign for the federal government. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with senior designers, videographers, photographers, and other team members to create and produce visual assets across various mediums, including social media graphics, digital ads, promotional materials, print ads, infographics, brochures, billboards, event collateral, and more. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow in a supportive environment. We are looking for a creative individual with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in layout, typography, and visual communication, who can follow brand guidelines while also thinking outside the box. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in pushing existing brand elements to produce fresh, innovative designs.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or visual arts/communications from an accredited institution.

· A minimum of five (5) years of professional design experience in a marketing, agency, or communications setting.

· A natural storyteller who can take an idea and apply it across multiple mediums such as digital, print, video, and motion design.

· Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products, including the core three: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

· Experience with long-format InDesign documents is a plus.

· Experience designing in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· General understanding and experience with 508 compliance and accessibility work.

· Experience with After Effects or Premiere is a plus.

· Basic knowledge of print processes and production requirements is a plus.

· Must be able to provide an updated link or PDF of portfolio work samples.

· Develop, review, and edit digital content (e.g., websites, documents, multimedia) to ensure it meets Section 508 compliance and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.

· Strong knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and WCAG standards.

· Experience conducting accessibility audits and using tools like WAVE, AXE, or JAWS.

· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and other web technologies, with an understanding of how to create accessible content.

· Collaborate with the creative team, senior designers, writers, marketing, product, and development teams to ideate and deliver innovative design solutions that meet project objectives across all platforms, technologies, and products.

· Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

· Exhibit exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Follow brand guidelines while possessing the skills to think outside the box when applicable.

· Work well independently and deliver quality work on time.

· Adapt to changing needs and priorities.

· Absorb, apply, and pivot based on internal and client feedback.

· Present work and make sound recommendations to internal and client stakeholders.

· Keep a pulse on the industry at large and bring ideas/recommendations to the table on how we could apply them to our current/future work.
