We are seeking a dedicated Senior Manager to oversee and guide the strategic direction of accessibility-centered program operations for a federal client. The Senior Manager will drive program success by ensuring compliance with Section 508, WCAG guidelines, and inclusive design principles. This role is crucial in collaborating with disabled communities and advocacy groups, supporting accessibility-focused technology initiatives, and aligning program objectives with federal accessibility standards.
Location: Remote, with occasional onsite meetings at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20210, and attendance at key conferences.
Hours: Availability Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM, excluding Federal Holidays or government closures.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead program operations with a strategic focus on accessibility, ensuring compliance with Section 508, WCAG guidelines, and federal standards.
Oversee accessibility-focused program activities, guiding cross-functional teams in developing solutions that meet the needs of users with disabilities.
Build strong relationships with federal agencies, disabled groups, and advocacy organizations, collaborating to ensure program goals align with accessibility and inclusivity standards.
Mentor project managers on accessibility best practices, creating a culture of inclusion and ensuring that accessibility is a core component of all program activities.
Conduct program evaluations to identify opportunities for enhancing accessibility, implementing changes to improve outcomes for users with disabilities.
Communicate program performance and accessibility initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in a senior program management role within government or consulting environments. (required)
Proven expertise in Section 508, WCAG, and accessibility standards. (required)
Demonstrated success in managing accessibility-focused projects and collaborating with disabled groups at the federal or state level. (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field. (preferred)
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. (preferred)
