Humana’s Marketing organization is looking for an experience Senior ADA Compliance Professional to join the Marketing Operations- Strategy, Compliance & Reporting team working remote in the state of Virginia. In this role, you will ensure that Humana is abiding by, and compliant with, all federal and Commonwealth of Virginia discrimination laws pertaining to members with disabilities and limited English. You will analyze operations and critically assess compliance to identify and review potential special accommodations as well as oversee alternative formats, over the phone Interpretation and sign language interpretation (in‐person or video remote interpretation).
Key Role Functions
Ensure and attest to compliance with federal and Commonwealth of Virginia requirements for ADA, LEP and Section 1557 compliance
Research compliance issues and recommend changes that assure compliance with contract obligations
Utilize independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determines the best course of action regarding special accommodations, alternative formats, over the phone interpretation and sign language
Collaborate cross‐functionally internally and externally with providers and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to ensure Members with disabilities are afforded "equal opportunity for equal access" ensuring the Virginia Cardinal Care Contract is followed based on sign language interpretation requirements and over the phone interpretation
Analyze data and influence decisions on what services and products Humana provides for members to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and federal guidelines
Responsible for all language proficiency testing
Support the discrimination phone line for concierge service
File Compliance reporting based on Commonwealth requirements
Contribute to new methods/practices and procedures to ensure contract objectives are met based on the Code of Federal Regulations for Medicaid states
Collaborate with the communication team on the strategy and execution to ensure a comprehensive education plan that cares for all populations
Engage in material review - letter, emails, texts, web, social and marketing
Maintain a strong connection to the market and supporting readiness efforts
Manage a Discrimination Phone line (required by section 1557); the team provides a concierge service for members to call for any questions or help needed for disabilities including, request for interpreters, read over the phone, help accessing Humana customer, service or help with oral grievances
Manage email inbox for any requests for help or information for Accessibility at Humana

Required Qualifications
Located in Virginia
Medicaid experience
Experience working with ADA compliance in communications
5 + years of experience in understanding Federal and State Non‐Discrimination laws
Experience working with regulatory agencies and attesting to Federal and State requirements
Strong communications skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with metrics and reporting

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$84,600 - $116,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
