Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to support and drive growth within our Digital Accessibility Practice Area. Our Digital Accessibility Practice Area is focused on helping our clients ensure that their web, mobile, and digital products, and services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Our mission is to make the digital world accessible for all users by adhering to the latest guidelines and best practices in digital accessibility.
This Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of selling and proposing best-in-class digital accessibility solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accessibility solutions, such as digital accessibility compliance, assistive technologies, and inclusive design, combined with a proven track record of selling solutions to clients. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify and cultivate new business opportunities while managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth within the accessibility practice.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets, including digital accessibility and compliance solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their accessibility needs and offer tailored solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and solutions that meet client needs.
Keep current with the latest trends and regulations in the accessibility space, including ADA, WCAG, and other related compliance standards.
Conduct outreach to potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Prepare and negotiate contracts and service agreements.
Promote Onward as a leader in digital accessibility, showcasing our commitment to inclusivity and our efforts to create accessible digital products and services.
Engage with the digital accessibility community through participation in conferences, meetups, and online forums. Build relationships with accessibility advocates, organizations, and influencers to expand our network and reach.
Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital accessibility. Provide training and resources to hiring managers and interviewers to ensure they understand the importance of accessibility and can evaluate candidates effectively.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and goals.
Act as a primary point of contact with clients.
Complete quality check calls to client to ensure satisfaction with placed candidate.
Data entry into ATS including but not limited to job entry, placement entry.
Schedule interviews with client, debrief with client after candidate interview.
Manage the offer process with client.
Consistently demonstrate Onward core values, both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience in a sales role selling digital accessibility solutions specifically
Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 compliance.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a business development role.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects, with the ability to manage all aspects of a project from start to completion.
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, KPI-driven environment .
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the staffing industry.
Familiarity with assistive technologies, inclusive design, and digital accessibility tools.
Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or similar certification.
Experience working with legal teams or consultants on accessibility-related compliance and litigation.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 (based on experience). This position is commission & bonus eligible. Comprehensive benefits and PTO package to include 401K also included.
