The Social Responsibility and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (SR & EDIA) Team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking a confident expert in equality, diversity, inclusivity and accessibility (with a particular focus on accessibility as this an area that we would particularly benefit from additional expertise). An enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, you will design, deliver and co-ordinate initiatives and projects, including training toolkits, enabling us to deliver on our EDIA Strategy.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a personal commitment to EDIA as demonstrated through their hobbies, interests and work experience, as well as having worked in partnership with others to drive action and activity to really make a difference.

The Faculty’s Social Responsibility strategy, includes four strands:

Enabling Impact
Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
Environmental Sustainability
Engagement

The EDIA Manager will work on the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility strand, operationalising it and providing a focus on the delivery of training to embed EDIA principles into work and study. They will also manage and deliver a range of initiatives and projects to support our drive to be a fully inclusive and accessible Faculty.

***Hours: Part time applicants will be considered, however there is a need for 1 FTE for this post, so it will be dependent on how we are able to make up the full post).

We are planning for the interviews to take place during the week of the 18th November, in person, in our Nancy Rothwell Building.
