We are growing our team and are currently seeking a Solutions Consultant with Web Accessibility background to work in Washington, DC.

Summary

The Solutions Consultant organizes and coordinates implementations. He/she provides strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture and ensures the customer’s needs are met. You will also oversee the progress of operations.

He/she is an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. Will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. He/she is also highly technical and can translate the technical knowledge into simple business terms for both internal and external stakeholders.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization by working with our internal teams and the customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Participate as a member of implementation team in sessions to understand the client’s business objectives and system needs
Work with implementation team and CTO to design the solution that best meets the client’s requirements
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of products and services
Demonstrate a command of product knowledge to fulfill both technical and business requirements.
Document the project or solution requirements, and the roles and responsibilities for both the customer and company during the pre-sales and implementation processes
Lead client training sessions
Support clients through go-live process and a play key role in promoting solution adoption
Work with the implementation lead to understand assigned project responsibilities and keep the projects on schedule
Suggest on proposals through providing technical expertise on basis of company technology and client network and workflow requirements.
Communicate progress and expectations, escalates problems implementation lead for awareness and/or resolution
Participate in weekly Status Meetings
Prepare and deliver technical demos explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Plan and modify services to meet customer needs
Help clients solve problems with installed equipment/implementation (SaaS)
Help in researching and developing new products
Explain the benefits of products or services to potential customers and to show how their products or services are better than their competitors’ products
Ask for technical requirements from customers and modify and adjust products to meet customers’ specific needs
Collaborate with research and development (R&D) departments to help identify and develop new products and services
Serve as a compliancy tester for web documents
Assist with the development of a document compliance strategy for web documents
Promote section 508 training opportunities for webmasters in Microsoft Word and other applications
Advise authors, content developers, and staff on how to ensure documents and websites are compliant

Qualifications & Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree preferred
IAAP WAS or CPWA certification strongly preferred
Excellent business process and/or project experience using tools such as Visio, MS Project, and any relational database system
Extremely detail oriented and customer focus
Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues
Technical aptitude and a high degree of self- motivation to train and achieve CRM application, customizations and installations certifications
Technical aptitude to train and gain proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS
Excellent business process and best practices experience or aptitude
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to build effective customer relationships
An aptitude for sales and customer service
Possess strong analytical skills and pay strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, strong team player, and the ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced, high-productivity startup environment
Direct experience with developing, designing and testing websites to ensure conformance to section 508 accessibility standards
Good understanding of HTML and CSS
Operational knowledge of assistive technologies used for web browsing, such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA), screen magnification software (ZoomText), or speech-direct software (Dragon Naturally Speaking)
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
