WSP’s Visualization and Data Intelligence (VDI) national practice works on mission-driven professional services / consulting projects. VDI is a dynamic creative and results-oriented in-house design and technology innovation team supporting Future Ready projects that are shaping our communities. WSP is initiating a search for a full-time Section 508 Accessibility Support Specialist, located near any WSP US office. As part of the team, you will work on multiple concurrent projects of varying levels of complexity for projects of both short- and long-term duration, in close collaboration with colleagues and clients. In this role, you must be a detailed-oriented self-starter with strong communication skills, who can provide accessibility consultation and remediation services for WSP deliverables across a range of media formats. Individual will be expected to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Your Impact
Review, remediate and test print, digital and web work products.
Provide accessibility consultation and technical assistance to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance standards, specifically Section 508.
Communicate with a largely remote workforce across the United States to share project updates, discuss requirements, and troubleshoot problems or issues.
Ability to perform development tasks within specified budgets and time frames and following WSP standards of quality.
Adhere to the VDI culture of service, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature or related discipline.
1-3 years of professional experience in applying Section 508 compliance and remediation.
Proficiency in Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance check points and policies per Federal regulation.
Proficiency in providing Section 508 remediation of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat documents.
Proficiency performing manual and automated testing to make work products Section 508 compliant using industry standard tools and screen readers (like JAWS, NVDA, and Voiceover).
Expert knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products (like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign).
Remediation skills for web and video work products.
Eloquent and effective writing skills.
Proficiency in SharePoint.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, self-starter

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $65,000 to $86,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $72,000 to $78,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
